WOODSTOCK - Lizzie Likness, 11, of Woodstock is the Doogie Howser of cooking. She whips up healthy meals and preaches daily fitness the way the young doctor used to save lives in the emergency room on TV.

The difference is, Lizzie's job is nonfiction.

Providing a fun, nutritious menu is the premise of her business, Lizzie Marie Cuisine, which includes her traveling around Cherokee and other areas to teach cooking classes and educate the public on the benefits of healthy eating. She has appeared on "Rachael Ray," as well as being featured in CNN's Top 8 Child Entrepreneurs To Watch Out For and Web MD's "FIT" as Chef Lizzie.

While many girls her age were making plastic bracelets and trading ponytail holders, Lizzie was laying the foundation for a possible franchise empire. As a result, Lizzie's startup company is taking her to the Big Apple. She leaves for New York today to attend Digitas' NewFront, a summit where creative minds of the media world congregate and share ideas. Digitas considers itself the "leading global integrated brand agency," establishing customer relationships and advertising devices for major companies.

The goal of NewFront meeting is to take Internet marketing to the next frontier, the ideal platform for Lizzie, who has utilized blogging as a tool for her business.

"The head of Digitas invited me to attend last year," she said.

However, because of prior engagements and time constraints, she couldn't make it. So the head of Digitas extended the invitation this year. She will be sitting with a panel that will include well-known stars such as Tori Spelling, Kevin Jonas and others.

"We'll be discussing how technology is incorporated into everyday life and the modern family," Lizzie said with confidence and professionalism not often found in an 11-year-old.

Last summer, Lizzie interned with Community Supported Agriculture, and incorporated her blog into the program. It was a win-win for both Lizzie and CSA. They were able to promote their fresh produce and farmers market KidsBox, and Lizzie was able to use the food to for her meals. Lizzie videotaped herself preparing various meals provided by the CSA KidsBox on her blog, and built a decent gathering.

As well as cooking, Lizzie has videos and blurbs about the correct way to prep food, such as washing lettuce, along with recipes, the best products to buy and fitness activities. For Lizzie, it's not all about becoming the Rockefeller of the culinary industry. This summer, the young farmers market advocate is working with American Heart Association by promoting heart healthy recipes. She will be demonstrating these recipes at AHA's meeting in Atlanta, which will be hosted by Star Jones. When asked what she would be cooking, she replied, "I haven't picked a recipe yet. But it'll be something that's good for the heart." Shortly after, however, Lizzie and her mom had decided on making Waffledillas, a spin on quesadillas using a waffle iron, and Powerhouse pancakes and waffles.

When asked about the future of her business, which was born both from a whim to make money and a passion for cooking, Lizzie said, "Right now I plan on expanding. I'm writing a cookbook. But Lizzie Marie Cuisine won't be my life. I'm going along with it for now."

With all her achievements under belt - or rather, apron - Lizzie's attitude and love for cooking has established herself as a business-savvy entreprenuer.
