  But for a group of Cherokee County singers, that dream became a reality over the weekend.

A frugal way to feline friendship

• With an exploding cat population, the Cherokee County Animal Shelter is making it easier for cats to be adopted this month.
  
  
  
  During July, the shelter is dropping the cost of a cat or kitten adoption to $50 as part of its Feline Frenzy promotion. The adoption fee usually is $75.
