Ronald Kenneth Artel, age 56, of Canton passed away Sunday, January 13, 2013 at Heritage Hospice in Marietta. Memorial Services are scheduled for Saturday, January 19, 2013 from Life Bible Church in Canton at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Malcolm Young officiating. The family will be receiving friends Saturday from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. at the Church before the Memorial Service. Mr. Artel is survived by his wife, Barbara Artel of Canton; sons, Jason (Sherry) Peterson of Canton, Eric (Randi) Peterson of Clarkesville, IN; daughter, Dawn (Tim) Snyder of Woodstock; parents, Robert & Marilyn Artel of Willow Brook, IL; brothers, Robert (Jeanne) Artel of Algonquin, IL and Jeffrey (Diane) Artel of Plainfield, IL. Mr. Artel was the “Loving Grandfather” to 7 grandchildren. Mr. Artel was a U.S. Army Veteran, Retired Postal Carrier and a Member of Life Bible Church.
