Mr. Dustin Joshua “D.J.” Blankinship, 23, of Canton, passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2012. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel. Burial was in the Blankinship Family Cemetery. D.J. was a heavy equipment operator with Blankinship Sand. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and raising pigs. Survivors include his wife, Kayla Blankinship of Canton; son, Lane Taylor Blankinship of Canton; mother, Michele Blankinship of Canton; father and stepmother, Darrell and Jessie Blankinship of Canton; brothers, Cory Blankinship, Bodie Blankinship and Jacob Blankinship all of Canton; sister, Morgan Blankinship of Canton; stepbrother, Dalton Kaylor of Canton; stepsister, Audrey Kaylor of Canton; grandparents, Milton O. and Christine Blankinship of Canton, Marie Brandenburg of Mississippi, Lamar Henson of Canton, Brenda Louise Ingram of Jasper and Larry Quarles of Ball Ground; mother-in-law, Joan Quarles of Ball Ground; a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
