Mr. Marvin L. Burns, 64, of Waleska passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Northside Cherokee Hospital. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Warren McNemar officiating. Interment will follow in Hickory Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Acworth. The family will receive friends on Friday from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. at the funeral home. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Mae Burns; brother, Walter Burns; and sister, Linda Burns. Survivors include his siblings, Jack Burns of Waleska, Jimmy Burns of Waleska, Arvil Burns of Woodstock, Kenneth (Robin) Burns of Woodstock, Ethel (Andrew) Croft of Acworth, Lenore Weaver of Acworth, Ruby Harris of Woodstock, Audrey Lathem of Acworth, and Hazel (John) Ramsdell of Canton; and a host of nieces and nephews.
