The ride in honor of baby Easton Elrod will begin in Woodstock in the parking lot of Burger Inn, 9680 Main St., with registration beginning at 9 a.m. and the ride starting at 10 a.m.
The young boy was born with osteogenesis imperfecta, commonly known as brittle bone
According to the Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation, somewhere between 25,000 and 50,000 Americans live with the incurable disorder. Easton has Type III, the most severe type of the disorder among children.
Easton’s father Michael Elrod, a 14-year veteran driver at Neese Towing in Woodstock, said he and his wife Brianna were dealt a tremendous blow when they found out the news after Easton’s Jan. 14 birth.
