Bobo bankruptcy predictable

DEAR EDITOR:

No surprise, another business deal fails and we pay. The Bobo bankruptcy was totally predictable.

Once again we poor trusting taxpayers are on the hook for millions of bucks to cover another bad deal by elected officials. You would think we would learn.

Canton City officials were way over their heads and cost us and are costing us millions in their failed water reservoir deal.

The solution is simple — small business people elected to City or County office shouldn’t be making long-range multi-million dollar commitments with our hard earned taxes.

They need to stick to providing necessary services and stay out of long-range commitments. This is not just a local problem— it’s everywhere.

There are many reasons not to trust government leaders with our long-range dollars.

The biggest one we’re facing right now is the TSPLOST 10-year billions of dollars — that we know will not be managed well — too big, too long, too vague —vote no.
