Claudette Conner, 79, passed away Friday, January 4, 2013 at Camellia Health and Rehab in Claxton. The Cherokee County native had lived in Atlanta for many years moving to Claxton several years ago. She was an administrative assistant for Metro Listing in Atlanta for 30 years. She was a loving caring, mother, grandmother and a member of Four Mile Baptist Church in All Ground, Georgia. She is preceded in death by husband, Robert Maddox; brothers, Donald Edward and A.J. Darby. She is survived by husband, Fred Conner of St. Augustine, Florida; children, Melanie and Dale Salter of Claxton, Georgia, Pam Kowalewicz of Snellville, Georgia; grandchildren, Jonathan Daniel, Sara Morris, Robin Salter, several nieces and nephews also survived.
