Beverly “Bunny” Foster Hager was almost a Christmas baby born on December 26, 1945. She made her transitions on Monday June 18, 2012 at age 66. The daughter of Virginia Cooper and Leland Foster she grew to become a woman in Elbridge and Marcellus, NY. A graduate of Marcellus High School her desire for education extended to Onondaga Community College followed by Syracuse University. Her ultimate goal was teaching. After moving to Georgia she received an opportunity to work at Lassiter High School as an office clerk and paraprofessional. Her goal, while not yet realized, was getting close. Continuing her education through West Georgia she received her Master of Special Education while teaching at Walton High School, coaching girl’s tennis to two state AAAAA championships and JV basketball. A published co-author an advance degree was earned at Lincoln Memorial University in TN. Always growing she accepted a Special Education teaching position at Sequoyah High School where her student skills advanced her to department head for special education. An avid reader and sports fan she is survived by husband Robert E. Hager, daughter, Courtney Jewell, Ben Jewell, son Zachary E. Hager and grand dog Ellie.Visitation for family and friends will be Sunday, June 24 at the Woodstock Funeral Home, 8855 Main Street, Woodstock, GA, from 4:00 to 6:00pm. Followed by a memorial service officiated by Rev. Richard Burdick of Unity of North Atlanta Church.
