Lt. Jay Baker, spokesman for the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, said Monday that the results of the autopsy on Alexsander Fraire of Woodstock would likely take several weeks to come back, but detectives continue to investigate his death.
Fraire was found dead in an apartment in the Terraces of Towne Lake complex about 7:30 a.m. Friday, where he had gone to visit friends, Baker said.
Baker said that there was “no trauma” to Fraire’s body, and detectives believe alcohol played a part in his death.
“Preliminary indications are that the teen was highly intoxicated,” Baker said.
Baker said detectives are working to determine how Fraire obtained the alcohol.
The drinking took place in another city and not at the apartment in Woodstock, where Fraire was visiting friends who are several years older.
Baker said that several people have been questioned in relation to the teen’s death, but “No charges have been filed.”
Before Fraire’s funeral service at Woodstock Funeral Home, his older brother Carlos Valadez remembered him fondly as good-hearted and funny young man.
“He was a nice guy, he didn’t do nothing to nobody, he was very protecting (of other people),” Valadez said of his brother, who was 11 years younger.
