BELLEVILLE, Ill. (AP) — A Georgia man is being held on bond after police say he had sex with a teenage girl in a southwestern Illinois motel room.

Prosecutors in St. Clair County charged 20-year-old Maurice Jackson of Wrens, Ga., with aggravated criminal sexual abuse.

Investigators say the 15-year-old girl's parents became worried after she didn't return home last Thursday evening. Police say that when she finally arrived home early the next morning, the parents learned she had sex with a man in a Fairview Heights motel room.

Online court records don't show whether Jackson has an attorney.

Jackson remained jailed Tuesday in Belleville on $75,000 bond.
