For the first time in my adult life, I’m afraid of my government. Judging from the spike in guns sales I’m not alone.
I was first concerned in early 2009, when the rule of law was discarded and the bondholders of Chrysler were told that contrary to the law, union pensions would be paid before bondholders, which are normally first in line during bankruptcy proceeding. Worse yet, they were intimidated and told, if they did not submit, they would be labeled greedy.
Next, the presidents of General Motors and Bank of America were fired by the president of the United States. Then in order to “sell” Obamacare, the president intimidated doctors by saying they would rather perform tonsillectomies and amputate limbs of patients, rather than treat them, because there was more money in operating.
Rrecently we found out the military and CIA were intimidated into changing the report on Benghazi from a terrorist attack to a demonstration over a video. Mysteriously, a four-star general, who refused to sign off on the changed report, General Petraeus, the hero of the Iraq war, was forced to resign because he was exposed as having an affair.
High ranking people like Admiral Mullen and Ambassador Pickering produced a white-washed investigation (they did not bother to interview the Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton) absolving all ranking officials of any wrongdoing. None of the 35 o survivors of the attack came forward to tell what happened, presumably because they are afraid for the jobs.
The second in command in Libya, Mr. Hicks, was told he could not talk to Congressman Chaffetz without a State Department lawyer present. Aren’t those people called “minders” in places like North Korea that will not allow government officials to talk to “outsiders” unless some government goon is present?
At the Benghazi hearings (barely covered by the mainstream media) we learned Hillary Clinton’s State Department demoted him.
If that were not enough, a whistleblower was shown on Fox News in profile with his voice disguised, speaking about how the military could have rescued our ambassador and the other three who were under attack, but were ordered not to go.
While the news was upsetting, the thing that shocked me most was this person was so fearful of his government, he would only talk with his face hidden and his voice altered. Isn’t that the same protection witnesses ask for when they are testifying against the mob? What has happened to my country?
Last, but not least, we now learn that the IRS had harassed, not only Tea Party groups, but those critical of Obamacare and even religious charities, like Billy Graham’s (Graham supported Romney).
While Conservative Groups were hassled, Left Wing Groups were rubber stamped. As I said, what has happened to my country under President Obama, when the devastating, crushing might of the IRS is unleashed on citizens who disagree with Obama’s policies?
