John T. Holbrook Jr., age 86 of Canton passed away peacefully at his residence Thursday, November 1, 2012. Mr. Holbrook was a lifetime resident of the Canton area and retired from Canton Textile Mills. He was a WWII Veteran. A Funeral service will be held Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 4PM in the Chapel of Darby Funeral Home with Rev. Horace Richards and Rev. Charles Davis officiating. Interment will be in Cherokee Memorial Park with Military Honors by VFW Post 5262. The family will be receiving friends Friday, November 2, 2012 beginning at 4PM-8PM and Saturday, November 3, 2012 from 11AM till the Funeral hour here at Darby Funeral Home. Survivors are daughter, Jenny (Ricky) Loggins of Canton, Grandson, Wes Stoner of Atlanta; granddaughter, Jenna Stoner of Canton; grandson, Seth(Gretchen) Loggins of Jasper; granddaughter, Leerick (Rae) Chandler of Canton; also 6 great grandchildren survive. The family ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Silver Spoons, Canton First Baptist Church, One Mission Point, Canton, GA 30114.
