The Ball Ground Historical Society will present a display of historical photos and artifacts from the city’s history at this year’s Ball Ground Heritage Days Festival taking place next weekend.
Tim Cavender of the Ball Ground Historical Society said in a release Wednesday that the display will be set up in the Old Roberts’ Store Building on Main Street.
The display can be seen May 17, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., May 18 from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. and May 19, from 12:30 until 6 p.m.
It is to feature items relative to Ball Ground’s history such as old doctors’ instruments, poultry items, vintage medicine bottles, Native American items and artifacts from the marble industry, Cavender said.
Photos and video presentations on Ball Ground’s past will also be on display and Sharp Mountain Heritage Guild will have artisans to demonstrate wool spinning and wood carving, Cavender said.
Admission to the display is free, Cavender said.
