Holly Springs Police are on the lookout for two men who allegedly broke into a house last week but fled when they discovered a resident was home.

In a press release Monday, police said the two men entered around 11:30 a.m. Thursday by breaking the glass in the back door of the home on the 400 block of Crestmont Lane.

The two allegedly went through drawers and removed two kitchen knives, which were later found on the kitchen floor, police said.

The suspects then went upstairs and forced entry into the master bedroom, using what appeared to be a pry tool, likely a crow bar.

Police said a resident was in the master bedroom and hid in the master bathroom as the suspects forced their way into the bedroom. The suspects reportedly attempted to enter the bathroom but fled the home after the resident screamed.

Neither suspect spoke to the resident, according to police, who also said they believe the suspects did not know anyone was at home at the time.

One suspect is a male between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall with a slender build. He reportedly wore black clothing with a black hoodie over his head and a blue bandana covering his face.

The second suspect is described as a male between 6 feet and 6 feet 3 inches tall with a husky build. He was reportedly wearing a tan T-shirt and possibly was wearing a Bluetooth device in his right ear.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Det. Johnny L. Shirley at (770) 721-7528 or email jshirley@hollyspringsga.us.
