Maureen Laughlin, age 75 of Canton and formerly of Stamford, CT the beloved wife of the late James Laughlin, passed away suddenly on Monday, February 25, 2013. Born in Greenwich, CT to the late Andrew and Josephine (Todd) Kohut, she was a longtime resident of Stamford prior to moving to Georgia nearly 14 years ago. Maureen worked for many years as a Loan Officer at the Stamford Municipal Credit Union. Her passions in life were spending time with her family, her church and shopping. Maureen was an active parishioner of St. Michael the Archangel Church. She is survived by her loving children, William Laughlin and his wife, Becky of Oxford, CT; Kathleen Bobinski and her husband, Jerome of Marietta; and James Laughlin and his wife, Maggie of Canton. She will also be missed by her 10 cherished grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sisters, Patricia Grassi of Fairfield, CT and Noreen Wilgus of Stamford. In addition to her parents and husband, Maureen was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Laughlin and sisters, Eileen Kenny and Dorothy Waldron. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, March 11, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. directly at St. Michael the Archangel Church in Woodstock. Interment will be private.
