I was surprised to read the article “Rogers defends Agenda 21 session.” I felt it was one-sided, in that it only quoted Seth Clark of Better Georgia (which boasts on its website that it; “takes the fight to the Southern Right Wing Fringe”) And Linda Flory who has associated herself with every left wing cause and group in the county.
Further, I am involved in the Tea Party movement and know most of the people in Georgia who are also involved, and I can tell you, that the assertion that “Field Searcy has lost favor with the state tea party for his extreme views” is not accurate.
First, there is no “state tea party.” Field was on the board of the Georgia Tea Party, which is a local tea party which meets in Cobb County. And while it has done great work lobbying our legislators to act like conservatives, it is no more a state party than the Cherokee Tea Party Patriots with which I am associated.
Second, Field has not “lost favor” per se. In April of this year, the Georgia Tea Party board had a difference of opinion and half the board (including Field) left.
Third, the Delphi Technique is not a mind control technique, it is simple deception. An example is at a town hall meeting when questions from the audience are taken on cards.
The organizers then throw out all the ones that don’t make their point, reading only the ones that do. Therefore making it seem that everyone at the meeting agrees with them.
Lastly, Flory’s opinion (and she is entitled to her opinion) that “I don’t think that was a useful outlet for our tax dollars” only showed her lack of knowledge of Agenda 21 and her bias against Rogers (she worked against him in the primary).
Agenda 21 was officially condemned in the National Republican Party platform and in a nutshell, is an attempt by the environmental extremists to return the earth back to nature wherever possible. And in many cases, at the expense of property owners.
A great example of how Agenda 21 works is right here in Cherokee County.
Joe Long owns around five acres of property next to BJ’s on Highway 92. The EPA has rendered it worthless by ruling that it is a wetland because it has a spring on it that is so small it dries up by June every year.
That is only one way Agenda 21 is implemented, but regardless which method, it is a threat to our property rights and Rogers should be commended, not condemned, for shedding light on it.

What is this final chance? Will the Republicans step up to the plate and do what is necessary?
Barack Obama has not yet been re-elected president.
Yes, the election is over – but remember, a presidential election in America is not by popular vote. We vote for the candidate,
but what we are really doing is voting for the electors who will meet on the Monday after the second Wednesday in December.
That is when the actual re-election of the president occurs.
Is there a way to stop this?
Yes, there is.
And the best part – this is totally constitutional.
The 12th Amendment of the Constitution as well as Article II of the Constitution govern the Electoral College.
According to the 12th Amendment, for the Electoral College to be able to select the president, it must have a quorum of two-thirds of the states voting. If enough states refuse to participate, the Electoral College will not have a quorum. If the Electoral College does not have a quorum or otherwise cannot vote or decide, then the responsibility for selecting the president and vice president devolves to the Congress.
The House of Representatives selects the president and the Senate selects the vice president.
Since the Republicans hold a majority in the House, presumably they would vote for Mitt Romney, and the Democrats in the Senate would vote for Joe Biden for vice president.
It would be sheer lunacy, but by all means go ahead and try.
