Two men who were found dead in January behind a Canton shopping center were legally intoxicated at the time of their death, according to new reports.

The Canton Police Department has received the toxicology reports back from the GBI, which performed autopsies on the victims.

Mauricio Gonzalez-Reyes, 39, and Obdulio Abel Ortega-Vail, 37, both of Guatemala, were found dead in the woods behind the Harmon Center in the 550 block of Marietta Road.

Both men were legally intoxicated, according to the reports, and one of the men's blood alcohol level was more than twice the state's legal limit of .08.

The men appeared to have suffered from hypothermia as well, police said. No signs of foul play were detected.

The shopping center just south of the Hickory Flat Highway/Highway 140 intersection includes numerous businesses that cater to Canton's Hispanic community as well as the Habitat For Humanity ReStore.
