WOOD, Robert J.
Robert J. Wood, 84, of Canton, formerly of Atlanta, Georgia, died October 13, 2012. Mr. Wood retired from Colonial Pipeline Company with 30 years of service, a veteran of World War II and still considered Lubbock, Texas his home. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Wood; son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Beth Wood; daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Greg Hammen; grandchildren, Dallas, Connor, Nash, Tori and Zack; step grandchildren, Brooke and Kyle. A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 18th at 2 o’clock at Oglethorpe Hill Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at H. M. Patterson & Son, Oglethorpe Hill Chapel, 4550 Peachtree Road, NE, Atlanta, Georgia, 30319.
