Mrs. Mary McKinney George, 85, of Canton, passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2010. Mrs. George was cremated. A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, January 15, 2011 at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Mary retired from Lockheed after 32 years of service. She was a devoted advocate for Baptist Missions and was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Survivors include her daughter, Kappi Lunsford; grandsons, Chris Lunsford and Brian Lunsford; great-grandson, Colin Lunsford; sisters, Evelyn Hughes and Juanita Case; brother, Esbun "Sonny" McKinney.
