Mr. James E. (Jim) Blackwell, age 81, of Ball Ground, passed away Sunday morning May 15, 2011 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Faye (Sperin) Blackwell, Ball Ground; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Gaye Lynn Blackwell, Jasper, Clark and Terri Blackwell, Canton, 5 brothers, W.C. Blackwell Jr., Jack Blackwell, Jerry Blackwell and Roy Blackwell, all of Jasper and Joe Blackwell, Henagar, AL, 4 sisters, Lila Johnson, Pensacola, FL, Sue Tatum, Canton, Joyce Davis, Omaha, NE and Patricia Blackwell, Fort Myers, FL; grandchildren, Cole & Amanda of Waleska, Clint & Kristin of Ellijay, Cody & Catie of Canton; great-grandchildren, Mac, Lauren and Knox of Waleska and Zed of Ellijay and a number of nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service was 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 17th at the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with Revs. Harold Evans and Tim McFarland officiating. The interment followed in Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Jasper. The following served as Pallbearers, Cole Blackwell, Clint Blackwell, Cody Blackwell, Clark Blackwell, Mark Blackwell and Tim McFarland.
