Ms. Lavell Jones, 59, of Canton passed away on Monday, May 23, 2011 at Heritage Hospice in Marietta. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at St. Paul A.M.E. Church with Rev. Lemora Dobbs officiating. Interment to follow at St. Paul A.M.E. Church Cemetery. The wake will be Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Sosebee Funeral Home. Lavell was a loving mother and grandmother. She attended Ralph J. Bunche School and was a member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Bernice Jones; brother, Billy Jones; sons, Justice Anthony Neal and Leon Ballew. Survivors include her daughters, Sharry Harkless and Inger Barron; sisters, Jerolene (Charles) Gearing, Lavern Jones, Gertrude Turner, Joyce Butler, Susie Jones and Decca (Howard) Varner; brothers, Rufus (Mary) Jones, Jr. and Freddie (Marilyn) Jones; sister-in-law, Tinsley Jones; eleven grandchildren; two great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
