ATLANTA (AP) _ Authorities who charged a Georgia man with killing his wife are now looking into the death of his first wife in 1990.

James Lynn Jr. is charged with killing his third wife Tonya Faye Lynn, and her body was discovered in a remote northeast Georgia well on Friday.

Georgia Bureau of Investigation Agent Jim Fullington said Tuesday authorities are now doing a “preliminary review” into the death of Lynn’s first wife, Julie Johnson Lynn. He says the probe will determine whether authorities will reopen the case.

Julie Lynn died in 1990 from a single gunshot wound to her head, and medical examiners ruled her death a suicide.

His second wife divorced him. She could not immediately be reached for comment.

Tonya Lynn’s funeral is scheduled for Tuesday at 3 p.m.
