COOLEY, Lewis R.
Lewis R Cooley, 90, of Canton, GA, died on December 6, 2011. He is survived by his sister, Dr. Sarah Cooley Mason, of Maryville, TN., his children, Rick Cooley of Avondale, Wanda Cooley of Pine Lake, Dr. Charles Cooley, and daughter-in-law Beth Cooley of Canton, and grandchildren Chris, Josh, Kyle and Caleb. He was born in Atlanta, attended the University of Georgia, then joined the army and served as a Sergeant in World War II, Company C 363 Engr. He was foreman at Georgia Power Co. for 44 years; he and his wife, Ruth Thomas Cooley, made their home in Canton after he retired. A memorial service will be held Sunday, December 11, 2011 at 2 p.m., Darby Funeral Home Chapel, 480 E. Main, Canton, GA. 770-479-2193. In lieu of flowers, donations to Fellowship Bible Church in Roswell.
