WARNER ROBINS, Ga. (AP) _ Military officials say Maj. Gen. Robert McMahon, commander of the Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, will retire on June 15.

McMahon, who previously announced that he would retire, confirmed the date in an interview Tuesday with The Telegraph newspaper.

McMahon will be the last commander of the center, which is being dismantled under an Air Force Materiel Command restructuring.

Plans call for operations at the central Georgia base to transition from the Air Logistics Center to what will be the new Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex.

The complex will be commanded by a one-star general who will report to a central command at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma.
