WOODSTOCK — The Woodstock Planning Commission recommended approval of three cases considered during its meeting on Tuesday.

The commission recommended approval of a request from Rashmit Loomba for a conditional permit for property at 9533 Main St.

The property is zoned downtown commercial mixed use and Loomba’s request for a permit would be to operate a recreational facility with some educational components.

A request for another conditional use permit from Bison Tires, LLC, was also recommended for approval. The company owns property at 9420 Highway 92, which is zoned general commercial.

The permit would be for the company to have an auto tire retail and repair operation.

A request to remove a condition of zoning was also recommended for approval by the commission.

The request from Steve Bankes seeks to remove a condition of zoning for his property at 123 Brendylnn Trace.

The commission granted his request to allow the buffer to be disturbed only to move the fence back and tie into the existing fence currently required by the condition of zoning.

All three requests will be considered by the Woodstock City Council during its July 9 meeting.

The planning commission also approved rescheduling its July 3 meeting to July 10.

It also announced that beginning in August, planning commission meetings will be moved to the first Thursday of the month.

Commission member Lee Zell was not present.
