Mr. Hugh Spriggs, 73, of Ball Ground passed away on Monday, June 11, 2012. uneral services are scheduled for 1:00pm on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Clyde Boling and Rev. Troy Milford officiating. Interment will follow in the Macedonia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 9:00am until the funeral hour. Mr. Spriggs served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Ophir Baptist Church and retired from Georgia Marble. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Spriggs, father, George Spriggs and brother, Robert Spriggs; Survivors include his daughter, Mitzi (James) Cantrell of Waleska; mother, Gartie Spriggs of Ball Ground; siblings, Annette Wofford, Janice Fann, Roselene West, Louise Waters, Mardell O’Bryant, Lamar Spriggs, and J.M. Spriggs all of Ball Ground; grandchildren, Justin and Joshua Cantrell; great-granddaughter, Kaylie Cantrell and a host of nieces and nephews also survive.
