ATLANTA (AP) _ The Georgia Supreme Court has upheld the murder conviction of a former Atlanta lawyer who was found guilty of killing his wife’s friend in Jones County.

The court’s opinion released Monday states that Robert Allen Danenberg shot Deborah Lamb as she held his infant son in 1988.

Danenberg’s lawyers had argued that a lower court made numerous errors in the case, but the Supreme Court rejected those claims.

Danenberg and his wife were in the process of getting divorced, and she and the couple’s 5-month-old son had moved in with Carey and Deborah Lamb and their two young sons in rural Jones County. Prosecutors said Danenberg went inside the home and shot Deborah Lamb in the chest as she held the Danenbergs’ baby.
