Mr. Jamie Albert Fleming, age 45, of Jasper, Georgia, passed away peacefully Monday, July 2, 2012 at his residence surrounded by his family and friends. Born August 17, 1966 in Tate, Georgia, Mr. Fleming worked as the Assistant Director for the Pickens County Parks and Rec. Mr. Fleming was very active in Pickens County Recreation as an umpire, referee, and coach. He was also a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church in Jasper, Georgia. Mr. Fleming is survived by his wife, Margaret Fleming, of Jasper, Georgia; son and daughter, Jacob and Sara Fleming, of Jasper, Georgia; father and mother, Bob and Marilyn Fleming, of Jasper, Georgia; father-in-law and spouse, Joe and Darlene Blackwell, of Arkansas; mother-in-law, Maureen Armstrong, of England; grandmother, Lorena Williams, of Jasper, Georgia; sisters and brothers-in-law, Dianne and Terry Thomason, of Talking Rock, Georgia, and Rena and Randy Kirk, of Jasper, Georgia, brother and sister-in-law, Joey and Lorie Fleming, of Jasper, Georgia; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Tina and Bob Roe, of Alabama, William Blackwell, of Jasper, Georgia, and Joey and Julie Vincent, of England, and step-brother, Jamie Armstrong, of England. Several nieces, nephews, and many many friends also survive. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 5, 2012, at the Philadelphia Baptist Church, with the Rev. Scott Price, Rev. Ed Sims, and Rev. Grant Wade will officiate with the interment to follow in Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, after 6 p.m. on Tuesday, all day Wednesday, and until the funeral hour Thursday.
