Mr. Jimmy Adkerson, 75, of Waleska passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at Northside Cherokee Hospital. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Mike Mize officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour. Mr. Adkerson was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking. Survivors include his daughter, Kathy (Raymond) Adkerson of Waleska; granddaughter, Nikki Morgan; great-grandson, Dylan Ledford; brother, Charles Adkerson of Canton; sister, Winnie Blanton of Trenton; and several nieces and nephews.
