WOODSTOCK — After bad weather washed out the city of Woodstock’s Friday Night Live festivities last week, the city will use the sunny weekend to make up for the delay.

The city will have its “Summer of Love” event from 2 to 7 p.m. today throughout downtown.

Kyle Bennett, director of tourism and visitors center operations, said some of the activities planned for the day include live music in the front of Seven Arrows and Cupcakelicious, both of which are located on Main Street.

Seven Arrows will also feature Neila Kechego, a Native American part of the Chippewa tribe, who will prepare and sell Indian tacos, Bennett added.

Blue Frog Imports will also have activities going on in front of the store and Show Me Off Again will feature a 20 percent off sale for all items in the store, excluding purses and items over $60.

Sweet Rides will be set up in front of Canyon’s Burgers and will have a raffle, children’s crafts and activities, glowsticks and glitter tattoos.

The event will be followed by a performance by Lovin’ Spoonful at 7:30 p.m. at the Park at City Center. The concert is part of the city’s 15th annual Summer Concert Series, which is sponsored by Northside Hospital-Cherokee.

Admission to the concert is free and open to the public.
