Mrs. Dora Lee Simmons Babcock, 71, of Canton, passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Atlanta. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 27, 2012 at Rolling Hills Memory Gardens with Rev. William Faucett officiating. Mrs. Babcock was a homemaker and a member of Hollydale Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Jennie Mae Simmons; sister, Betty Robertson; and brother, Calvin “Buck” Simmons. Survivors include her husband, Richard Babcock of Canton; children, Richard Babcock, Jr. of Marietta, Deborah Garrison of Alpharetta, Tamatha Fincher of Cumming, Greg Babcock of Canton; 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and one expectant grandson named Jake.
