The Knox Foundation for Ethics and the Reinhardt University McCamish School of Business will host the ethics discussion at 3:30 p.m., in the Hill Freeman Library and Spruill Learning Center on Reinhardt’s campus in Waleska.
The event’s featured speaker is Randell Trammell, a Reinhardt graduate and state YMCA of Georgia executive director and CEO.
Trammell will discuss “authenticity.”
“Ethics is a topic increasing in interest and is vitally important in today’s environment,” said Dr. Kathy Hyatt, assistant professor of business. “We are very excited about the opportunity to host an ethics discussion at Reinhardt University. We encourage everyone to attend.”
Trammell grew up in the “Y” Club program in Dalton and served as state chaplain for the state YMCA in the 1990s.
He went to Reinhardt University for his undergraduate degree in religious education and later completed a master’s degree as a part of the university’s inaugural cohort.
Trammell is now pursuing a doctorate in education with an emphasis on organizational management and leadership at Northeastern University in Boston.
In 2004, Trammell joined the YMCA staff as a district director. In 2009, he was named CEO making YMCA of the USA history as one of the youngest currently serving CEOs.
He is a member of the executive committee of the Georgia YMCA Directors Alliance and received his YMCA Senior Director Certification in 2008.
Trammell is president of the Reinhardt University Alumni Association, as well as a member of the Reinhardt University Board of Trustees, vice president of the Lake Dow North Property Owners Association, and a Reinhardt adjunct instructor teaching nonprofit management.
