Teen arrested in Georgia school bomb threat

SYLVESTER, Ga. (AP) — A 16-year-old boy has been charged with making a bomb threat at a high school in south Georgia.

WALB-TV reports the unidentified teen is being held in the Eastman Regional Youth Development Center.

Police say the boy called in a bomb threat to 911 on Jan. 8 which led to Worth County High School in Sylvester being evacuated.

Officials say the boy will be charged with making terroristic threats and disrupting a school.

Sylvester is about 20 miles east of Albany.
