Mrs. Vivian King Dawson, 90 of Woodstock died Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Northside Hospital Cherokee with family by her side following a brief illness. Vivian is a native of Woodstock, born on September 13, 1922 to the late Robert Lee and Maude Fowler King. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dawson is also preceded in death by her husband; James Paul Dawson and son; James Edward (Eddie) Dawson. Survivors include her sister; Martha Freeman and husband, Maynard; children and grandchildren; Alice Dawson, Ellen Ewers and husband Tony, Dawson, Helen Dawson, Beth Williams and husband Tommy, Tyler and Tanner, Paula Coleman and Maggie, Bobby Dawson and wife Tanya, Dara and Gavyn, Alice Ann Dawson, Shannon and Ashley, several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and loving friends. Funeral services are scheduled at 3:00 pm Sunday, February 3, 2013 in the Chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home. Dr. George Freeman will officiate. Interment will follow at the Dawson Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 2, 2013 at the funeral home from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
