Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday. Only eligible voters within House District 21 can cast ballots.

All voters must report to their assigned precincts to vote. The following precincts are part of the election:

Air Acres, Arnold Mill, Avery, Bridgemill, Hickory Flat, Holly Springs, Liberty, Mountain Road, Teasley, Toonigh and Wildcat.

Anyone unsure about voting eligibility should check their registration cards, call the county elections office at (770) 479-0407, or visit the Secretary of State’s My Voter Page at www.mvp.sos. state.ga.us.

A total of 218 people had voted early in person as of 4 p.m. Friday, according to Cherokee County Elections Supervisor Janet Munda.

About 150 of these votes came in the final week of early voting. The elections office has mailed out 97 absentee ballots.
