Mrs. Mary Byess, 70, of Jasper passed away Thursday, February 28, 2013 at her residence. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Mike Byess and Rev. Horace Biddy officiating. Interment will follow in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 10 am until 10 pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Byess was of the Baptist faith. She loved helping and taking care of her family and enjoyed crocheting. Survivors include her husband of 17 years, Don Byess of Jasper; siblings, Charles McCoy of Jasper, Eva Biddy of Ball Ground, Dorothy Hendrix of Jasper and Arnold McCoy of Ball Ground; stepchildren, Donny Byess of Fairmount, Kenneth Byess, Tim Byess, Melissa Cronan and Brian Byess all of Canton; several step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
