Woodstock police are looking for a man they say robbed the Regions Bank on Tuesday morning.

Officers responded to the bank at 9670 Main St. at about 9:10 a.m.

“Upon arrival, officers met with employees of the bank who advised that a male entered the bank and

presented the teller with a note demanding money,” Woodstock Police spokeswoman Brittany Duncan said. “The teller did comply with the request and the male then exited the bank

with an undisclosed amount

of cash.”

Duncan would not confirm the amount of money taken during the bank

robbery.

The suspect is described to be a white man, weighing about 250 to 300 pounds and with blonde hair.

Surveillance video shot during the robbery show him wearing an orange baseball cap, orange shirt, black jeans, and white shoes. At the time of the incident, the suspect was carrying a black bag pack with Atlanta Braves logo on the bag.

Late Tuesday afternoon Duncan said officers had received several tips but none leading them to the suspect.

“We’re still hopeful someone might be able to recognize him and give us more information,” she said.

Anyone with information regarding the incident or the suspect is urged to call the Woodstock Police Department at (770) 592-6030 or Crime Stoppers at (404) 577-8477.
