ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. (AP) — Rain halted some filming of "Anchorman: The Legend Continues" on a pier off the Georgia coast, prompting the crew to ask county officials for more time.

Glynn County Commission spokeswoman Candice Temple said Paramount Pictures wasn't able to complete its work on the pier due to a combination of wind and rain on Thursday.

The Florida Times-Union reports that the crew was using a mechanical shark during intermittent rain.

Temple said they will be granted an extension to continue filming, which means the pier will remain closed Friday.
