CANTON — The Canton Police Department is asking for help tracking down a suspect in a string of recent burglaries in two subdivisions.

The Great Sky community in north Canton racked up three burglaries between April 19 and April 22, Pacer Cordry, Community Outreach Officer for the Canton Police Department, said in a news release Monday.

Yet another was attempted Saturday in the Mountain View community, Cordry said.

After speaking with witnesses to each incident, Cordry said investigators believe all four are related.

Cordry said three witnesses have all “seen something similar,” when describing a suspect in the incidents.

The suspect, an older white man with salt and pepper hair, is said to be between 5-foot-8 and 6 feet tall and have a medium build, Cordry said.

Witnesses have also recalled the man’s pick-up truck, which Cordry said may have a ladder rack on the back and two dogs riding along.

He was last seen wearing a blue fleece shirt, jeans and flip flops, Cordry said.

In the incidents, Cordry said, the man might have knocked on the homes’ doors, checking to see if anyone was there before going inside.

Anyone with information is asked to call Canton Police detectives at (770) 720-4883.
