Authorities say they have yet to identify a body found in the woods in Woodstock on Saturday afternoon.
Wildlife biologists searching Cherokee County for snakes discovered the skeletal remains off South Cherokee Lane in Woodstock around 6 p.m., said Lt. Jay Baker, spokesman for the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office.
"Currently investigators have not determined how long the remains have been in the woods," Baker said.          Baker said the body appears to be that of a man was wearing size 13 red Adidas tennis shoes and blue jeans with burgundy shorts underneath.
"Cherokee Sheriff’s Office investigators are not working any missing person cases that meet the description of the located remains," Baker said. "The remains will be sent to the GBI crime lab for analysis."

The Sheriff's Office is asking for anyone with any information on the case to call 911.
