For decades, the Dairy Queen in south Canton has drawn long lines of customers looking for cool, tasty ice cream treats.

Now the popular treat and quick service system has opened its newest treat concept, a DQ Treat store in Canton.

The location offers all of the popular Dairy Queen soft-serve treats and cakes as well as Orange Julius products, including an array of fruit beverages and smoothies.

Located in the Riverstone Village Shopping area at 147 Reinhardt College Parkway, the 1,300-square-foot restaurant employs a staff of 12 and offers indoor and outdoor seating.

In addition, the original Canton Dairy Queen store located at 2761 Marietta Highway is still open for business.

“I am thrilled about the opening of the DQ Treat store in Canton. The Dairy Queen system is the worldwide treat leader, and we’ve paired an innovative exciting design with a fabulous selection of cravable treats including all of the Dairy Queen and Orange Julius favorites. Our customers will love what we’re bringing to the Canton community,” said operator Ted Owens, who has many years of experience in the Dairy Queen system.

The DQ Treat store in Canton features DQ favorites, such as the iconic Blizzard Treats, MooLatté frozen coffee flavored beverages, DQ cakes and a wide variety of other soft-serve items, as well as the full line of Orange Julius premium fruit smoothies and fruit-blended beverages.

Patrons can choose from a variety of fruit-blended beverages including delicious Orange Julius premium Fruit Smoothies and Orange Julius Light Smoothies.

All Orange Julius premium fruit smoothies, light smoothies and Julius Original drinks are available in eight flavors including orange, strawberry, strawberry banana, tripleberry, mango pineapple, berry-pom, orangeberry and piña colada, and protein or banana boosts can be added.

The Orange Julius premium fruit smoothies are made fresh to order with real fruit blended with low-fat yogurt.

The Orange Julius light smoothies are 170 calories or less in a small size, contain no artificial sweeteners or flavors and are yogurt-free.

“We are looking to provide the Canton community with a great treat location, from that morning smoothie to the after-the-movie Blizzard Treat,” said Owens.
