SPRINGFIELD, Ga. (AP) — Members of one south Georgia community say an Andy Griffith-themed funeral was the best way to honor a well-loved pastor.

The First Baptist Church of Springfield held the funeral for Pastor Jeffrey Rollins on Wednesday. Rollins died in a car accident on Saturday. Springfield is about 25 miles northwest of Savannah.

A police car used in filming of "The Andy Griffith Show," was parked in front of the church during Rollins' funeral. A quote from the show's main character was featured on the funeral program, and clip from the television show played during the ceremony.

Rollins' friend Jimmy McDuffie tells Morris News Service (http://bit.ly/1mwk0Ii) that Rollins loved the ease and quietness of the simpler times depicted in the show.
