Candidates qualify to run in Cherokee County

As the first day of qualifying for the May 20 general primary election opened statewide, a number of local and state-level candidates paid their fees to run for office.

Qualifying will continue until noon Friday for candidates who wish to seek office in the May 20 election.

Following is a list of candidates who have qualified for Cherokee County elections so far.
