She married the love of her life, Clemmon, as he left for WW II. On his return from the War, they settled their nest in Atlanta, Georgia and were blessed with four children. Her role as wife and mother and having her family grow and prosper gave her the greatest joy of her life. She was the most loving and caring mother and mentor to children in her church and community. Her passion in life was for teaching children, especially in Kindergarten, as she established the first Kindergarten classes in Cherokee County, in Holly Springs United Methodist and Hickory Flat United Methodist Churches. Child Evangelism was her goal and she attended classes (from Child Evangelism Fellowship Association) in this field of work. As she retired she worked in Atlanta City, Fulton and Cherokee County as a substitute teacher. She also did mission work with the local Hispanic Children’s churches and was a mentor to teachers at Canton Community Church.
