Prep Roundup: Mouw, Creekview topple Riverwood

Jonathan Mouw struck out 10 and gave up four hits in six innings to lead Creekview to a 6-1 win Friday at Riverwood.

Creekview (5-2, 2-0 Region 7AAAAA) scattered seven hits in the win.

Austin Smith was 2-for-3 with a two-run home run that capped the fifth inning and gave the Grizzlies a 6-0 lead. Avery Smith was 2-for-4 with a double.

Creekview will host Northview on Monday.


Late Thursday

Etowah 18, Cherokee 8:
Victoria Stairs scored eight goals and made two assists as the Lady Eagles added to an 8-4 halftime lead.

Alexia Audet scored a team-high six goals, while Marissa Wetzler finished with two for Etowah. Jaclyn Regnery and Beth Haynes each had two assists.

Caitlyn Roszina made four saves.
