The city of Canton will conduct a public information presentation March 19 from 5 to 7 p.m. on the River Mill Livable Centers Initiative Enterprise Zone.

Matthew Thomas, Canton’s economic development coordinator, will be available during the meeting on the third floor of City Hall to answer questions about the enterprise zone, which provides for abatement of local, county and state property taxes for job creation and property improvements.

According to Thomas, the enterprise zone’s limits run from the Etowah River on Mill Industrial Way and include Railroad Street, Hill Street Circle and Harmon Circle. It also includes parts of Hickory Flat Highway, spots near Interstate 575 and portions of Marietta Road and the Waleska Street Bridge.

Maps and other information will be available for public viewing at the meeting.

Those with questions about the meeting can call (770) 704-1516.
