Prep Roundup: Chiesa leads Woodstock girls lacrosse past Wheeler

Jaclyn Chiesa scored six goals and added two assists, while Jenna Carr added five goals of her own to lead the Woodstock lacrosse team to a 14-3 win over Wheeler on Thursday.

The Lady Wolverines (3-3, 1-3 Area 2AAAAAA) also got goals from Jillian Chiesa, Claudia Harrison and Nicole Agner.

Goalkeeper Vienna Monte made 10 saves for Woodstock, which will travel to South Forsyth today.

n Etowah 19, Allatoona 1: The Lady Eagles jumped to a 12-0 lead in the first half before cruising toward a victory.

Victoria Stairs led Etowah with nine goals, and Beth Haynes added three. Alexia Audet and Jaclyn Regnery each scored twice.

Caylin Roszina made one save.


Late Wednesday

Etowah 165, River Ridge 178:
Josh Colley and Cole Kirkpatrick each shot 39 as the Eagles won the battle of county rivals at Alpharetta Athletic Club in Milton.

Garret Sanders (41) and Shay Fu (46) also contributed for Etowah, which will play in the Kell Invitational today at Eagle Watch Golf Club.
