WOODSTOCK — Reinhardt University’s Bass Anglers fishing team will host a bass tournament on Lake Allatoona on April 19.

Beginning when it light enough to be safe for boating and running until 3 p.m., the tournament, the Bass Anglers’ first, is set to launch from the Victoria Boat Ramp on the lake near Woodstock and is a team event, open to the public, the university said in a news release.

Teams will have to pay a $70 entry fee and will be allowed to weigh in five fish per team, though only one dead fish is allowed. All boats used must have aerated live wells.

The $20 of the entry fee will go back to the Bass Anglers, so the team can compete in the Collegiate Bass Championship at Pickwick Lake, Ala., which will be televised on NBC Sports.

To register for the event, visit the Dugout in Kennesaw, up until April 18. Registration on the day of the tournament begins two hours before sunrise at the boat ramp.

For more information, contact Stephen Young, Bass Anglers team member, at (770) 380-9791.
