Four deputies with the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office graduated Friday from the Cherokee County Regional Police Academy in Canton. Pictured from left are Capt. Joe Perkins, Deputies John Brandon Jr., Ryan Stehlik, George Spamer and Robert Reilly and Lt. Gene Peluso. Brandon, Stehlik, Spamer and Reilly successfully completed 408 hours of police training during the past 11 weeks and are assigned to the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center, said Lt. Jay Baker of the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office. This is the second academy class to graduate from the new Roger D. Garrison Law Enforcement Training Center this year. Two new police academy sessions will begin in July.
